In an effort to enhance scientific cooperation with international companies and institutions, the Environment, Water, and Renewable Energy Research and Technology Center at the Scientific Research Authority held a specialized seminar entitled "Air Pollution and Climate Change: Potential and Future Vision," in collaboration with the Canadian company ESI.
The seminar was presented by Dr. Basim Mohammed Hashim, Mr. Osama Al-Astrabadi, representative of the Canadian company ESI, and Mr. Ahmed Al-Yassiri, Director of the Digital Space International Company.
The seminar opened with a speech by the President of the Scientific Research Authority, Dr. Shafiq Al-Mawla, who reviewed the current state of air pollution in Iraq and ways to address it using green technologies.
The seminar addressed the environmental challenges associated with air pollution and climate change, the Authority's role in measuring pollutants and publishing specialized scientific findings, and opportunities for establishing research partnerships with international institutions concerned with environmental monitoring.
The seminar also showcased the capabilities of the Canadian company ESI in the field of air pollution monitoring systems and devices using modern technologies, in addition to highlighting the role of the Digital Space International Company in developing sustainable smart cities.
