The thesis was titled: “Assessment of the Effectiveness of Reverse Osmosis Systems to Remove Boron, Selenium, and Natural Radionuclides from Drinking Water in Thi-Qar Province.” It addressed an important environmental and public health topic, focusing on evaluating the efficiency of reverse osmosis systems in purifying drinking water from harmful elements.

The defense was held on the morning of Thursday, March 26, 2026, in the seminar hall of the college, attended by the University President, Professor Dr. Kamal Hamed Al-Yasiri, and the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Sabah Hussein Inaya, along with a scientific committee comprising a distinguished group of professors and researchers. The researcher, Ali Natheer Tuaima, presented his thesis, which shed light on addressing water pollution challenges in Thi-Qar Province, proposing scientific solutions that contribute to improving water quality and enhancing public health.

This participation reflects the commitment of the Scientific Research Authority to supporting the academic journey and monitoring postgraduate outcomes, thereby enhancing the quality of scientific research in Iraqi universities.
