A scientific team from the Center for Environmental, Water, and Renewable Energy Research and Technology at the Scientific Research Authority has begun fieldwork to conduct tests, measurements, and data collection for environmental impact studies for several projects of the Iraqi Atomic Energy Commission, as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation among national scientific institutions.
This activity is being carried out under the guidance of the Center's Director, Dr. Nadhir Jamal Omran, and the supervision of the Head of the Environmental Research and Treatment Department, Dr. Maitham Abdullah Sultan, with the participation of a select group of specialized researchers. The work includes conducting precise field measurements, analyzing environmental indicators, and documenting data according to established standards to ensure the preparation of robust studies that support the environmental and technical aspects of the projects.
These efforts fall within the scope of scientific services and consultations provided by the Center to the public and private sectors, underscoring its role in supporting sustainable development and promoting integration between scientific research and the needs of national institutions.
