Under the continuous supervision and follow-up of Professor Dr. Shafiq Al-Mulla, the Scientific Research Authority, through the Center for Environmental, Water, and Renewable Energy Research and Technology, continues to prepare technical and economic studies for converting government buildings into energy-efficient and environmentally friendly structures, in line with the national initiative to support energy and reduce emissions.
The technical and consultancy support team completed preliminary design calculations and feasibility studies for several government buildings, including sites under the Ministries of Agriculture and Justice, following necessary field inspections, in preparation for implementing photovoltaic solar energy systems in their operation.
This effort continues the team’s work over previous years, during which similar studies were conducted for more than 1,400 government buildings across several provinces, enhancing energy efficiency and supporting the transition toward sustainability and clean energy in government institutions.
