Cooperation Agreement between the Scientific Research Authority and Al-Kadi Trading, Contracting, and General Services Company

The Scientific Research Authority signed a cooperation agreement with Al-Kadi Trading, Contracting, and General Services Company to establish a specialized station for treating and disposing of waste generated from oil extraction operations in Maysan Governorate. This agreement is part of national efforts to protect the environment and address industrial pollution.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Head of the Scientific Research Authority, Professor Dr. Shafiq Al-Mawla, and Dr. Muhammad Abdul Salam Qasim, Director of the Center for the Treatment and Disposal of Chemical, Biological, and Military Waste.

During the ceremony, Dr. Al-Mawla emphasized the Iraqi government's commitment to completing projects and studies related to oil policies. He noted that the Scientific Research Authority, through its Center for the Treatment and Disposal of Chemical, Biological, and Military Waste, is working to sign contracts aimed at mitigating the effects of oil waste and reducing its environmental damage.

He added that this agreement represents a significant step towards establishing strategic projects that contribute to saving the Iraqi environment from pollutants and industrial waste. He further emphasized that environmental safety is a national duty borne by all state institutions.
